A website can be used as your main source of income when you’re running a webshop, it can be used as an information platform for your customers or it can be just your online business card. Whatever you are using your website for, it’s a piece of technology that needs maintenance and can be developed throughout the years to stay ahead of the newest technologies.

Should you get a website?
In most cases I would say, yes! The one exception would be: you don’t want to grow your business and your customers need nothing of you online. In all other cases, a website is of great benefit to your business. It’s important to first have a clear picture of the goal of your website. Do you want new customers? Get your conversion flow on point! Do you just provide information? Make sure the visitor can navigate easily.
Websites come in all sizes and shapes, so to make a choice in what type of website you need, write down everything your website needs to be able to do for you. Next up, talk to your developer about how to realize this and talk to your designer what it should look like.

I already have a website, can you help me out?
In a lot of cases: probably I can! Not every content management system (CMS) is the same though. I have loads of experience in the most used CMS: WordPress. So if you have a WordPress website, there is a very big change I can help you out. For any other system, it totally depends on how intuitive the system is.
You can always get in touch to get some free advise on what your next step should be. Working in someone else’s code is often more time-consuming than working in your own code, so most times my first question will be: are you still in touch with the person that developed this for you. Don’t worry if you are not though: there is usually a solution anyway!

My website doesn’t score well in search engines, why?
This can have many different reasons, so if you were hoping for a simple answer, there is none. Search Engine Optimalization (SEO) is a specialism that takes dedication to master. I have beyond basic knowledge, but I would not call myself an SEO specialist. With my background in a marketing agency, I know plenty that can help you though!
When working with an SEO specialist, you’ll find out why your pages are not scoring well and get the tools and tips to create better content. They know all the ins and outs to get more traffic to your website!
Better yet, once the traffic is there they have colleagues that are specialized in the next step: conversion. If you have that traffic, but you don’t seem to get any leads or sales, looking into conversion rate optimization (CRO) will help you to help your visitors in the right direction and click that call to action.
