Add unique functionalities to your website with plugins
In theory, any functionality can be added to your website using a plugin. Any functionality that a website can have of course, because I cant build you a plugin that allows you to print money 😉 When we’re talking about plugin right now, we’re talking about WordPress plugins. Sometimes we might want to add a functionality to your theme, but putting it in a plugin does have it’s advantages. Read on or plan a brainstorm session about your plugin right now.

What type of custom functionality can be added?
A common case is connection 2 or more systems to each other. It’s smart to add this with a custom plugin, as building it within your theme would require changes to you theme when you switch systems, while you can just turn a plugin off when you don’t need it anymore.
Customs plugins can be build for any reason. Automating certain parts of your workflow, adding blocks to you “block library”, and many many more options are available with a custom plugin.

What plugins do I already offer?
Right now, the plugins I’m working on that will be publicly available in the future are in testing mode. This means only a limited amount of people have access to the plugin, who give me feedback to create a stable version for public release.
The plugin coming up pretty soon will be Blocklab: a developers tool that makes creating ACF blocks so easy, you just don’t want to stop building. Expected public release: late 2025 or early 2026.

Do you help with plugins build by others?
Implementing plugins can sometimes be harder than it looks at first. Some plugins offer so many options, it’s hard to work with it if you’re not used to complex user interfaces and page builders. I can help you with implementing most plugins.
Fixing errors caused by others is often harder to fix though, for one main reason: changing the source code works for a while, until the creators of the plugin update the plugin. This will overwrite any changes made, often putting a bug back in. In this case, I can still help you by communicating with the plugin creators, pushing them to apply a fix for the bug you found.
